You are cordially invited to the 66th UMED State-of-the-Art Conference on August 12, 2021.
The conference will proudly introduce the First Philippine Sepsis and Septic Shock Guidelines by highlighting the most important evidence-based recommendations. Drs. Joseph Buensalido and Jude Erric Cinco, respected specialists and leaders in the field of infectious disease and critical care, will be discussing the early recognition, diagnosis and management of sepsis and non-sepsis through an interactive case discussion. This will also lead us to understanding the critical care management of the patient with septic shock.
Dr. Jerome Kim, an international expert on the evaluation and development of vaccines and Director General of the International Vaccine Institute (IVI), whose mission is to discover, develop and deliver safe, effective and affordable vaccines for Global Health. His depth and breadth of scientific experience span basic research through advanced clinical development
He will be giving us insight into the challenges presented by the manufacturing and delivery of Covid 19 vaccines. Dr. Kim will also be focusing on the global access agreement (COVAX) and its challenges as vaccination programs continue to roll out around the world.
